Marcel Scarlatescu - 45 de ani. Constructor timisorean, in retragere. Vanator si raidist. A indeplinit toate functiile in Raid: ridicator corturi, ajutor de bucatar, electrician Aro, sofer, copilot, contabil etc. Se confunda usor cu bastinasii unor tari pe care le-a traversat. Imbracat ca un mauritanian, a fost deseori cerut in casatorie in oazele traversate. Dar, fara camile si nevorbind limba locala, a revenit in Romania si s-a indreptat spre politica. Este singurul roman ales intr-un Consiliu Judetean (Timis) in timp ce era innisipat in Mauritania.
